WEDDING FLOWER PLANNING TIMELINE

We know just how overwhelming the wedding flower planning process can feel – the list of details to sort through is long. Don’t fret, we’ve gotcha covered.

Remember, this timeline is not strict and we are more than happy to collaborate with you if you’re wedding is just a month away or more than a year away.

6-12 MONTHS PRIOR TO WEDDING DAY

Contact us to schedule your consultation. You’ll be asked to submit an online questionnaire and we’ll jump on the phone to sort through the details. We’ll develop a detailed quote and design guide.

You’ll need to pay a 25% deposit to book us for the day. Don’t worry, all the details don’t need to be locked away but it’s important to book us in early as we only take a limited number of weddings each year.

6-8 WEEKS PRIOR TO WEDDING DAY

We’ll schedule in a face to face catch-up and talk through the details of the day. We can talk about the logistics of the day, the final table configuration and suggest specific flowers and foliages to feature through the designs.

30 DAYS PRIOR TO WEDDING DAY

The final payment is due in full.

5-7 DAYS PRIOR TO WEDDING DAY

We can finalise specific flower availability and we will send you our set-up schedule for the day.

HOW MUCH DO THINGS COST?

We have a wide range of pricing depending on your needs. We have no minimum spend and have worked with floral budgets from $500 (with our Wedding Essentials Package) up to $10,000.

Most of our couples spend an average of $3,500-$7,500 for all of their wedding day flowers.

  • Bridal bouquets range between $220-$480
  • Bridesmaid bouquets range between $150-$310
  • Buttonholes/Corsages range between $21.25-$65
  • Flower crowns range between $65-$125
  • Low centrepieces range between $98-$250
  • Elevated centrepieces range between $380-$650
  • Large ceremony arrangements range between $385-$800
  • Archway flowers range between $385-$1650
  • Feature installations range between $650-$3200
  • Delivery and installation charges are additional and vary depending on the venue

Pricing is based on size, style, flower varieties used and complexity of the design. We feature the high quality local and imported fresh flowers in our signature abundant style.

PREPARING FOR YOUR CONSULTATION

Our mission is to make the floral design component of wedding planning one of the most memorable aspects of your wedding.

Ideally, we would be able to sit down for 30-40 minutes together, get to know each other better and start to work through the details and wish list of your wedding day.

But we also understand sometimes that’s not always possible. So here is a quick summary of the key pieces of information we need to craft a quote for you:

  • Wedding location, date, & time
  • How many bridesmaids and groomsmen are there?
  • Any flower girls or page boys participating?
  • Do you want any additional buttonholes or corsages for the fathers / mothers or other members of the family?
  • Do you need any flowers for your hair?
  • Do you envision any florals for the ceremony space?
  • How is the reception space being set-up (i.e. table configuration)?
  • Do you need any flowers for your cake?
  • What time do you expect guests to arrive for the ceremony and reception?
  • Where are you and the groom getting ready?

In terms of floral styling, photo references are often the best option. We know part of the joy of planning your wedding is being able to spend hours searching the worlds of Pinterest and Instagram so please do bring along any photo references you have of the type of flowers you love.

At the end of the day, this should be a fun experience so don’t stress too much about gathering all the details. And if you have any questions – big or small – don’t hesitate to ask.

WHAT FLOWER ARE IN SEASON?

How far in advanced do I need to book?

We suggest a minimum of 6-12 months but we can easily work within a shorter planning timeframe.

We do recommend paying your 25% deposit as early as possible as we only take a limited number of weddings each weekend. After your deposit is paid we can easily sort through changes and revisions to the order details, nothing needs to be firmly set in stone until 6-8 weeks prior to your wedding day.

Are some flowers only available in certain months of the year?

Yes, we are at the mercy of Mother Nature and weather conditions have a significant impact on availability of flowers. For example, Peonies are only available for a few weeks in mid-Spring (most often November) but the specific availability often changes from year to year, depending on how cold the winter has been and how wet the early weeks of spring are.

Do you have wedding flower packages?

Do you offer hire items or do I have to buy my vases etc.?

We do offer a range of hire items – vases, ceremony archways, totems, and a chuppah, various styles of candleholders as well an easel and birdcage wishing well.

Why do I need a consultation?

Flowers are an incredibly personal experience and there is only so much an email can communicate – at the very least we like to meet our couples over the phone and ideally in person.

How do I organise a consultation?

You can do that online via this link or call our studio team on to schedule a meeting. Before our consultation we will ask you to fill in our online wedding consultation questionnaire.

If you have a few quick questions you can always chat with us online.

I am interstate / overseas and am not able to do a face to face consultation. Is that a problem?

No, not at all. We can easily arrange a consultation over Skype or we can call you directly.

Do I need a theme or a style for my wedding before we meet?

At a minimum we suggest you have spent some time researching the types of flowers and designs you like – everyone’s tastes are different and there are hundreds of options when it comes to wedding flower design. Even one or two inspiration photos can point us all in the right direction.

Having said that though, you don’t need to have thought through every detail. We know our local venues incredibly well and can provide suggestions and options for ceremony and reception styling ideas as well.

Can you delivery my flowers on the day?

Absolutely, we can deliver all of your wedding flowers on the day. Note that delivery and set-up charges are outlined once we prepare a final quote for you. Delivery starts at $150 and set-up starts at $282.

How much do flowers usually cost?

There is a lot of variability when it comes to wedding flower prices. Most of our couples spend between $3500 – $7000 on their wedding flowers.

We suggest 10-15% of your total wedding budget but if you want florals to be a significant component of the experience for the day, we would recommend allocating closer to 25-30% of your total budget to flowers.

Where are you located?

Our wedding team is based in the Southern Highlands, NSW. We also operate a retail shop in High Street Laneway in Bowral NSW.

We do wedding flowers for couples getting married all across the Southern Highlands as well as in Wollongong and South Coast NSW.
