frequently asked questions
We understand you are incredibly busy and have a lot on your plate when it comes to planning a wedding.
The best approach is to fill in our Enquiry Form, providing as much detail as possible. We can then use that to create a draft quote for you to review.
From there, we would suggest an in-depth consultation, either in person or over the phone.
We do love meeting with you in person though and find that is most helpful for both you and us.
All of our bride meetings are by appointment only and be aware that during Spring and Autumn, weekends are often filled up with weddings and events – weekdays are much easier for us.
It depends on your wedding date. Eight to 10 months prior to your wedding date is most common. However, we are able to help plan an event with much tighter timelines as well.
For the busiest times of year (March/April and October/November) the earlier you contact us the better.
Just remember, we work on a first come first serve basis and bookings are only confirmed once a 25% non-refundable deposit has been received.
We have a large selection of vases available for hire. Alternatively, you’re welcome to supply your own vases.
We handle everything including delivery and set up of your wedding flowers. This is done on the day of your wedding.
In most cases, the flowers for the bride and bridesmaids etc are delivered late morning to wherever the bride is getting ready. The timing for the day is dependant upon your ceremony and reception schedule as well.
Flowers for the ceremony and reception are delivered and set up at a pre-arranged time with the venue manager (we organise this).
Not at all. We work through this with you at your consultation, making recommendations based on seasonal availability, colour, budget etc.
In fact, we find the less prescriptive you are on the specific flowers you want, the happier you’ll be with the final result. We work best when we’re provided with a colour palette and a handful of select wedding floral design photos you’ve stumbled across.
The short answer is no. Most flowers are seasonal with different varieties available at different times of the year. Your options would be discussed at your consultation.
We are proud to not only have worked at most of the wedding venues in the Southern Highlands. We are also happy to be on the referral lists of many of the area’s event spaces.
We florists spend hours planning and preparing for your wedding. The process begins many weeks before your wedding day, when we sit down and plan out our recipes for your bouquets, arrangements and feature installations. Because we are also at the mercy of Mother Nature we always need to plan for a Plan B, just incase our preferred florals are not available the week of your wedding.
As well, even on the day there is a lot that goes on ‘behind the scenes’ in terms of managing the logistics of your wedding flowers including packaging and packing each of your beautifully hand-crafted items.
Orders can be changed up to one month prior to the wedding date.
One month prior to the wedding date.
25% non-refundable deposit
Flowers are generally delivered mid to late morning. You can specify the delivery time within an hour window. As a general rule aim to have your flowers delivered at least 30 minutes before your photographer is scheduled to arrive.
Your bouquets are individually packaged in a perfect white wedding box, carefully wrapped in tissue and the stems in water.
Traditionally wedding florals account for approximately 10% of your total wedding budget. We do not have a minimum investment and we are more than happy to work with you to simply provide a stunning bouquet for the day or to work through a complete service packaging, including large foliage installations and floral features.
All we need is a 25% deposit. Although the deposit is non-refundable you can always change your mind about the specific items and designs included in the final costs. The deposit paid will simply come off the balance owing.
The final payment for your wedding flowers is due one month prior to the big day.
Wedding flowers are an incredibly personal thing and as such we do ask quite a few questions to get the ball rolling. There are some very functional questions we will most certainly ask at our initial consultation:
In terms of floral styling, photo references are often the best option. We know part of the joy of planning your wedding is being able to spend hours searching the worlds of Pinterest and Instagram. So please do bring along any photo references you have of the type of flowers you love.
To get the best result from us, the less prescriptive you are, the better the end product will be. Remember that are working with Mother Nature and she has a plan all her own. It’s best to leave the final design and floral choice to us and we can work our magic once we have a general sense of your style and your colour palette. We promise you won’t be disappointed!
